200200 - Coding: Intro. to Video Game Design

This program is for anyone who loves gaming and wants to design and build original games. The course will provide a solid foundation in the essentials of game design. Students will code their own video games or stories using Scratch Platform, a block-based coding language. Students will design the stage, characters, create the game or story and write the code to bring it all together. After learning about game genres, students learn about all aspects of the game-design process. From there, it's on to a series of increasingly challenging hands-on projects that teach all the elements of successful game development.
    No previous experience required.
Students will need to know their district username & password to be able to log-on the computers.
